Hong Kong Design Centre (HKDC) is a non-profit organisation and a strategic partner of the HKSAR Government in establishing Hong Kong as a centre of design excellence in Asia. Since 2002, HKDC has been on a public mission to use design and innovation to drive value creation and improve the well-being of society in the following directions: (i) connecting all industry doers and thinkers, fostering exchange and collaborations among designers, businesses and academia; (ii) celebrating talents and good designs that improve quality of life, address social innovation and preserve cultural heritage; (iii) nurturing creativity and entrepreneurship among students, budding design-preneurs and design-driven start-ups; (iv) advancing expertise and knowledge to promote innovation and growth within Hong Kong’s design community; and (v) engaging the society by sharing industry news, knowledge and insights with the press as well as the public.
