The exhibition is a branch activity of ongoing research archiving of Ha Bik Chuen, a Hong Kong-based sculptor and printmaker. Except being well known as an artist, his enthusiasm in art could be seen on his parallel practices: photographing exhibitions that he attended, and construct book collages together with his collection on illustrated magazines, artist portraits or other materials. By showing over 1,000 exhibitions photographed, uncategorized visual materials, artist portraits and book collages; the exhibition is a documentation of his collections and also his artistic practice on archiving. \r\n\r\nWe created logotype by using shadow as element, indicating Ha and his artistic practices are inseparable as shadow and mankind. Inspired by his persistence on archiving, the logotype is designed in 7-days calendar setting, representing the daily continual nature of Ha’s archive practice. \r\n\r\nThe design visually illustrate the essence of Ha’s artworks as well as practices as a collector, and to present respect to his lifelong endeavor and contribution to local art sector.
